Quick Start Guide

Connect, Encourage, Discover & Help

We are here to put you directly into the action of
“equipping God’s people to do his work
and build up the church, the body of Christ” (Eph 4:12).

There is not a “right way” or a “wrong way” to use this site, so jump in and look around.

Step One:  People

Click on the People button.  This is a quick way to find others by their name, location, or ministry.  Put your mouse over their name to see a quick bio.  Click away!

NOTEYou must be logged in for Step Two & Three

Step Two: Credits

You need credits.  To get some, place your mouse over your name in the right hand side of the page and a dropdown menu will appear.  Click on the “Buy Credits” button and enter your credit card information where indicated (safe and secure by Authorize.net.  You only need to do this once.).  Then, click on “Buy Credits” and enter the amount of credits you want to buy: 1 credit equals $1.

Purchasing credits to give away are 100% tax deductible.

Step Three:  Wishlist

Click on the “Wishlists” button to view a list of items pastors and leaders have indicated they need and want.  Simply click on the “Buy” button and you will purchase that Bible resource for them—instantly.  The item will be automatically removed from the Wishlist and the credit amount will be deducted from your credits.

Speak Spanish:

In addition to purchasing a resource or giving credits to someone, it is our hope you will want to connect and get to know him or her.  Click on the “Send Message” button in their profile and “jot a note in your language and it will arrive in theirs.”  This is a very exciting feature and one of which we hope you take full advantage.  Be of encouragement.  Stay in touch.  Pray.  Expand your world.  See where God takes you.

Messages

Sending & Receiving Messages:
LOGOI’s system enables you to communicate with Christian Leaders in a foreign country even if you do not speak the same language. Simple write a note in your own language and through the marvels of technology, it will be automatically translated and received in the other person’s language—and vice versa.

  • NOT A PERFECT SYSTEM: Automated language translations  are much improved, but far from perfect. Our goal is to enable  understandable communication.
  • POOR AUTOMATED TRANSLATION: When you are unable to figure out what is  being said, just relax, smile, and remember it is not a perfect system.  Then, send a note back saying the  translation did not work and ask them to try again using different  words.  Remember, they may  have misunderstood you, too.
  • AVOID USING CONTRACTIONS: Contractions are using words like  “can’t, it’s, I’m, you’d, we’d” etc.  You will have a more accurate translation by writing each word out.
  • THEOLOGICAL TERMS & WORDS: Keep in mind automated translation  systems struggle with theological words like “sanctification and  condemnation” let alone words like “antinomianism and  supralapsarianism.”  If you  need a dictionary to look up a word, we suggest using a different one.

My Wish List

How it works…

You’re going to like this!

LOGOI offers our members the opportunity to help each other out in very tangible ways.  As you roam around LOGOI’s office, it won’t take long before you find articles, books, and materials that would really benefit your life and ministry.  But sometimes, your financial situation may just not allow you to buy them.  Well, we have good news.

Every day, people from all over the world visit LOGOI’s website.  Many visitors come specifically to look for someone who could use a little help and encouragement.  They look over member profiles, read the bios, look at the pictures and click on the “wish lists” of those who interest them.

Then, a beautiful thing can happen.  As the Lord leads, this special visitor just might decide to invest in you and buy you an item or two on your wish list.  They can do this anonymously, or if they choose, they’ll leave you a note with their email so you can get to know each other.  (You would then receive an email indicating with instructions on how to get your “wish list” item.)

The more complete and up-to-date you keep your LOGOI profile, the better opportunity you have to catch a special visitor’s attention and interest. And of course, if possible, we do hope you send a special “thank you.”  They just might want to help again down the road.  And, wouldn’t it be great if you could do the same for someone else sometime in the future.

How to add an item to your Wish List:

Simply click on the “Buy Now” button of the item you want.  The next screen will enable you to either purchase the item using credits or ADD ITEM TO MY WISH LIST.  Click the “add to my wish list” button and it will automatically be added to the “wish list” on your profile.

NOTE: Your wish list in your profile will only list the five (5) most recent items on your wish list.  Here’s a suggestion, may want to include LOGOI “Office Key” or “Pastor’s Key” to your wish list.
